Welcome to the website of Gyan Bharati Public School, Sootea, Biswanath, Assam-784175. As the Principal of this prestigious secondary school, I feel privileged and honoured to welcome you all on behalf of our school fraternity. We, the family of GBPS, feel privileged to work with a team of mission oriented dedicated teachers, parents, students and the society at large to dispense quality education to our students, the future repository of our nation.
Established in the year 2006 by MC Baruah Educational Foundation , Sootea, ours is a CBSE affiliated (Affiliation number 230252), co-educational multi-disciplinary English medium school imparting inclusive and holistic education from Nursery to Class X to a large
cross section of the populace. We are in the process of upgrading our school to Senior Secondary level tuning it with the New Education Policy 2020.
Dear Patrons, we at the GBPS believe that for holistic development of the students, education needs to be inclusive and multi-dimensional. With this objective in mind, besides academic excellence, we pay paramount importance in initiating the students to various extracurricular activities, games and sports, literary, spiritual and creative thinking modules for their comprehensive personality development. With excellent infrastructural facilities available at our disposal, we are able to realize these cherished objectives.
Our excellent CBSE Class X Board Examination results over the years, speak volume about the excellent academic environment in our school. With 100% pass percentage since the first batch in the year 2019, we are able to produce consistently good result. In the Academic year 2023-24, one of our student, Purbashree Bormudoi scored 98.8%, having stood second position in the district of Biswanath, Assam. Besides academic excellence, our students also actively participate in various National level competitions like CBSE Science Challenge ; CBSE Budding Authors; CBSE Expression; Mathematics, English, Hindi and Science Olympiads and numerous other competitions organized by CBSE, New Delhi and have won laurels for their excellent performance. In the recently concluded Far East CBSE Judo Championship held in Chhattisgarh, one of our students won Bronze medal.
